Homemade Veg-Paneer pizza is a baked hand-made flat bread topped with tomato sauce, veggies & loads of cheese. I bought yeast thinking that I would make bread, instead I ended up in making delicious pizzas. Having pizza for dinner & watching a movie means a lot on a rough weekday. The base of pizza can be prepared in advance and you can surprise your guests with your home-made pizza. It can also be an easy home-project for kids to involve them in cooking on a play date by making the pizza with the choice of their ingredients.
Over to Homemade veg-Paneer Pizza recipe from Home-Making-Delight..
All purpose Flour or Maida – 3 cups & some for dusting
Salt – 1 tsp
Warm Water – 1 cup
Olive oil – 2 tblsp & for brushing
Fast rising yeast – 7g or 1/4 oz
Veggies – 11/2 – 2 cups (Onions, red, orange or green bell peppers, black or green olives, Jalapeno peppers, Paneer, Pineapple)
Grated cheese – 1 cup or as required
Dried Oregano & basil – 1 tsp
Reduced Balsamic vinegar – 2 tblsp
Extra flavorful and chunky tomato pasta sauce (store-bought) – 2 cups
Tomatoes – 4 big
Onion – 1/3 cup pureed (optional)
Garlic – 3
Oregano – 1 tsp
Pepper – 2 tsp
Olive oil – 2 tblsp
Salt – pinch
- Heat oil in the pan. Add minced garlic, pureed onion & finely chopped tomatoes and allow it to cook until it’s soft & mushy.
- Cut the veggies of your choice and slightly saute them in olive oil.
Add oil to the warm water and make a smooth dough by adding warm water to the dry mixture.4. Leave it untouched for 15-30 minutes and you can see the dough risen up. (Divide the dough into two equal parts to make two medium size pizzas).5. Dust the rolling pin with flour and start rolling the dough into a flat disk. Press the uneven ends with hands.6. Transfer the flattened dough base into the baking pan and brush it with olive oil.7. Start arranging the pizza with the tomato sauce and add veggies on top.8. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top and bake it at 350 F for 15-20 mins.9. Sprinkle dried herbs on top and serve hot with sauce along with garlic bread.
If you are not using the fast rising yeast follow the procedure as instructed in the pack for making the dough.
Spread the reduced balsamic vinegar to the homemade veg-paneer pizza before 3-5 minutes of baking time.
