Homemade Eggless Banana Brownie – Yummy Wheat Flour Brownies
Eggless Banana Brownie is a rich delicious dessert prepared by baking wheat flour with sugar, cocoa powder & bananas. Brownies are supposed to be a bit soft and moist as cakes at the center of it and a bit crisp as cookies on the outside. This banana brownie can be prepared easily with simple ingredients lying in the kitchen. Do you have ripe bananas sitting idle on the dining table?? Now, you’ll know what to do with that 😉
As I have already tried and posted cake, ice cream, milkshake & pudding earlier with bananas, I felt it’s time I try brownies with bananas. Egg-less brownies can be prepared in many ways using curd or milk & vinegar instead of eggs. But, the best option would be to make use of well-ripened bananas, although you would get a banana flavor added to your brownies. Whatever recipe you try with bananas, adding cocoa will always make it taste better. The soft chewy banana brownie with crusty top layer will surely make you go “Ba na na s” (Minions’ style ;-)).
And, in this recipe, we have used a convectional microwave, but it is possible to prepare brownies in normal microwave oven too. I had tried that long ago and it came out perfect. I would try to get the recipe soon here.
Normally, we use the flour (Maida) for our cake recipes but I have kinda reduced the maida intake these days, though it’s tough. I have used whole wheat flour in this recipe to try to make it as ‘less-harmful’ as it can be. 😀 Do try this one out and let us know how it came out 🙂

Homemade Eggless Banana Brownie – Wheat Flour Brownies Recipe
Makes – 9-12 Square Brownies
Banana – 1 cup + 2 tblsp (mashed)
Wheat Flour – 2 cups
Sugar – 1 & 1/2 cup
Cocoa Powder – 1/2 cup
Baking Powder – 1 tsp
Salt – 1/4 tsp
Milk – 3/4 cup
Oil – 1/2 cup
Walnuts – 3/4 cup (chopped)
- Pre-heat the oven to 350 F. Mash the bananas well with a fork & mix with milk without any lumps.2. Mix all the dry ingredients (Wheat flour, sugar, cocoa powder, salt & baking powder) in a mixing bowl until well blended.3. Combine the dry ingredients mixture with the wet ingredients. Finally, add oil to make the batter smooth.4. Pour the batter into a well greased 9″x7″ baking pan and tap it gently to break any bubbles. Top the layer with chopped walnuts.5. Bake it in the oven for 350 F for 20-30 minutes or until the tooth pick inserted comes out clean. Remove it from the oven & let it cool completely before you cut them to the squares.6. Make your tummy delighted with the yummy chocolate banana brownies :-D. Our serving suggestion for this brownie would be to serve them hot/warm with vanilla ice cream and hot chocolate sauce poured over it. 🙂
- You can also add chocolate chunks or chocolate chips as topping. Pour chocolate syrup on your wheat brownies before you serve, if you like.
- Freeze the bananas overnight & bring it back to room temperature for easy mashing.
