Chilli Idli – Kaima Idli – Left over Idli Recipe from Homemaking Delight

I have been preparing idlis & dosas very often for the past few meals and I myself was so bored cooking them again and again. I switched the side dishes often, but then too, I felt it boring. So, last week I decided to upgrade my dinner that was supposed to be plain idli to chili idli. It’s delicious and easy to prepare. I am sure kids would love this one. 🙂

You can prepare idlis in advance or use the left-over idlis from your previous meal. Then, all that’s left for you to make dinner is just to fry the idlis and saute them in the gravy. The addition of soy sauce & spices to the fried idlis will bring out the indo chinese flavors. You don’t need to worry about deep frying the idlis in oil as shallow frying with less oil will work perfectly to make the kaima idli. Have left over idli or batter in hand? Try this fusion recipe to reform your regular meal into an exotic one.
